In the heart of Tuscany lies the Podere Casino - a dreamily quiet spot on earth - where you can relax and leave everyday stress behind you!
Almost 3 decades ago Erwin Neumeyer came to Tuscany and immediately fell in love with this beautiful property on a hill surrounded by gentle hills and oak and chestnut forests. A place of peace, far away from any traffic noise, where wild boar and porcupine say good night to each other, where glowworms and stars shine at night, one brighter than the other.
Step by step and with great attention to detail, Erwin has renovated and extended the Podere Casino, always careful to preserve the rustic charm of the Tuscany houses. As a passionate host and cook, he made sure that our guests would spend unforgettable holidays here.
We want to continue this tradition. Whether you are a Tuscany fan or casual visitor, sun worshipper or sports fanatic, wine connoisseur or gourmet - we will ensure your extraordinary holiday experience at Podere Casino.

HOUSES & ROOMS
The Podere Casino consists of 4 houses:
The Casa Principale with 3 bedrooms for 6 people,
the Villa Topolino, a cosy holiday home for a maximum of 4 persons and the Villa Santi,
with an exclusive loft for 2 persons on the first floor and the meeting point, the "Cantina" on the lower floor and
of the Villa Alta, where the hosts live.
OUR SERVICES
Grocery Shopping Service
We do your first shopping so that you have a full fridge on the day of your arrival. Just send us a shopping list at least 3 days before your arrival.
Aperitivo di Benvenuto
On your arrival we welcome you with a homemade aperitivo all'Italiana.
On-site support
At the Podere, we value your peace and privacy. But should you have any questions or concerns, there is always someone on site personally. We have been in the area for many years and know many an insider tip in the Maremma.
But we are also always happy to have a chat.
Bed linen & towels
All guest houses are provided with fresh bed linen, towels and the necessary equipment for cooking and eating.
Pool
A blue oasis in the middle of green. With 9x 5 meters the pool offers enough space for swimming and cooling down. On the comfortable deckchairs you can relax beautifully, enjoy the sun and the view.
In Captain Hook's Pool Bar & Lounge you meet for a Sunset Apéro.
Free WiFi
At Podere Casino we do not have much mobile phone reception, but we do offer the fastest Wifi in the area.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY
Wine and olive oil tastings
Tuscany is famous for its good wine. Well-known wine regions such as Bolgheri, Montepulciano or Scansano are all within a maximum of one and a half hours by car. We are happy to recommend nearby wineries for wine buying or wine tasting.
Sightseeing & Culture
The area around Boccheggiano, where the Podere Casino is located, is famous for its pretty medieval villages which invite you to discover and enjoy. But also Tuscan Renaissance cities like Siena or Grosseto can be reached within an hour.
Market & Shopping
Tuscany offers numerous shopping opportunities. For example the great weekly markets nearby: Siena on Wednesday, Grosseto on Thursday and Follonica on Friday.
But also handicrafts and culinary delights are popular souvenirs.
Swimming & Surfing
The Tyrrhenian Sea can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. There, golden sand beaches alternate with rocky coastlines. The clean, crystal clear water invites you to swim, relax and enjoy the sun. Those who like a little more action can glide over the water on a surfboard during SUP, windsurfing or kite surfing.
Biking / Cycling / Enduro
The surrounding hills of the Podere Casino are ideal to explore by bike. There is a suitable terrain for every preference - numerous mountain bike trails through the dense forests and many smaller country roads with little to moderate traffic for the racing bike.
Especially in spring and winter a recommended activity.
Thermal Springs
The picturesque, natural wellness oasis Saturnia can be reached in about 2 hours. There you can visit the local spa or relax in one of the thermal springs open to the public, such as the Cascate del Mulino.
